Sustainable development among the European values celebrated during the Erasmus Days: SDG4U for sustainable education

Today the launch of the #ErasmusDays celebrations, taking place between the 14th and the 19th October 2024, as an international six-day celebration of the Erasmus+ programme, which over the course of the last decades has deeply contributed to support education, mobility, intercultural opportunities and more.

While celebrating the Erasmus Days, we also celebrate our common values, among which sustainable development raises at the core. To participate in the celebrations, the Partners of the SDG4U project – Engaging SDGs for Transformative Education and Enhanced Sustainability in Universities – released a series of mini-videos to present the initiative, the work behind the scenes and the impact expected from the project. Great focus is on the importance of sustainable education and the Mapping Tool developed by the Partners, to inspire sustainable learning, one module at a time.

The Erasmus+ project SDG4U’s key priority is to stimulate innovative learning and teaching practices through engaging SDGs to transformative education and sustainability practices in universities. The project activities will enable access to knowledge and skills required for understanding and promoting sustainable development, through formal education, life-long learning programs and initiatives with emphasis on promoting equality, on developing a culture of peace, non-violence and fairness at all levels.

We firmly believe that the Erasmus+ programme can be a game-changer in the path towards sustainable development, and we are proud to be part of the ErasmusDays celebations with SDG4U!
