Besides all the dissemination events and the actions undertaken during the SDG4U Raise Awareness Campaign, Partners organised a series of training sessions and webinars to promote transformative education and sustainability in universities.
October 2024 – Series of videos for sustainable development during the Erasmus Days
Sustainable development among the European values celebrated during the Erasmus Days: SDG4U for sustainable education, through a series of informative videos to stimulate innovative learning and teaching practices through engaging SDGs to transformative education and sustainability practices in universities.
March 2025 – SDG4U presentation by the University College Cork to Irish HEIs
The Higher Education Authority (HEA) Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Spotlight Series, in collaboration with higher education institutions across the Island of Ireland, showcases innovative and inspiring ESD initiatives taking place in the sector. UCC’s presentation showcased the development of the university’s SDG Toolkit and also disseminated the SDG4U Mapping Tool to the audience.
May 2025 – Train the Trainers Seminar at Pantheion University
The SDG4U project organised a “Train the Trainers” seminar as a key educational initiative designed to empower university educators. The seminar aimed to equip participants with tools and methodologies to integrate the SDGs into both teaching and institutional practices, supporting more sustainable and transformative education.
May 2025 – ‘IES ODSesionad@s’ at the University of Murcia
On May 9, 2025, as part of the ‘IES ODSesionad@s‘ event, the University of Murcia presented the European SDG4U project to approximately 250 students from 7 institutes in the Region of Murcia. ‘IES ODSesionad@s’ has promoted for the first time in the region the reflection, awareness and training of non-university students on the importance of the 2030 Agenda.
September 2025 – Online Seminars as part of the European Sustainable Development Week 2025
Within the framework of the European Sustainable Development Week 2025, a series of online seminars were organized by the Laboratory of Sociology of Education and Culture of Panteion University, the Laboratory of Political Economy of Sustainable Development of NKUA, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Greece, and the European research project SDG4U, in collaboration with the Postgraduate Program “Philosophy and Management” of NKUA, the CoES of ACG, the Department of Sociology of NKUA, the Laboratory of Sustainable Development and Circular Economy of the University of Piraeus, the SDSN Youth Greece, the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists (HAPSc), and the Hellenic Association of University Women.
November 2025 – SDG4U Training Seminar on Transformative Education and Sustainability hosted by the American College of Greece
The SDG4U Seminar brought together faculty and students from partner universities to explore how higher education can promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through interactive sessions, workshops, and a student hackathon, participants learned practical ways to integrate SDGs into university teaching and research.
December 2025 – Online co-organised seminar titled “Art and Sustainable Development”
The Hellenic Network of Solutions for Sustainable Development of the United Nations, the Hellenic Youth Network of Solutions for Sustainable Development of the United Nations, the Laboratory of Political Economy of Sustainable Development of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Laboratory of Sociology of Education and Culture of Panteion University, the Center of Excellence in Sustainability of the American College of Greece, and the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme “Philosophy and Management” of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens co-organized an educational online seminar entitled: “Art and Susstainable Development” sponsored by the SDG4U project.
